Here There Be Tygers is a self-proclaimed progressive rock duo formed and based in Carson City, Nevada, previously named Montag’s Revelation. The name is derived from a Ray Bradbury short story. The duo consists of Bob Otsuka (basstheyoshi) and Connore Farrell (Irkenman). The group technically formed sometime in 2008 with Lue Vang, Jen Dodge, Cody Shelton, Bob Otsuka, and Connore Farrell, but Lue and Jen eventually left the band due to lack of interest. Cody left shortly after, leaving only Connore and Bob. In February 2009, things began picking back up for the group when Bob Schuler joined on guitar, although after a few months he too left the band in June 2009. Since then, the duo has tried valiantly to recruit more members.

Harrison Root and Cole Bates expressed interest in joining on guitar and violin respectively, but both have never shown up to practice. Eventually, it was suggested by Bob that he buy an electric guitar and learn to play properly so that the two could form a duo and invite guest artists when they play live. Connore agreed, and the band has been active again since October 2009. They are currently working on a few original songs as well as some covers. In addition, they also plan to record the entirety of one of their weekly jam sessions and release it as an LP.

Also in the works is a Beatles cover album that will feature guest guitarist and fellow Beatle fan Heather DuValle. The duo is currently working on an EP in an attempt to drum up funds and support for their high school senior projects, in which they plan to record and produce a full-legnth concept album. The band has the so far unique philosophy when it comes to the sale of their music, when it becomes available. The tracks are available for free download on the duo's website, but for anyone who says, "I like what you're doing and I want a CD," the group will send a full, hard copy of an album or a single for free. However, to those who say "I really like what you're doing, so here's some money so you can keep doing it," the group will send a special copy of an album or single.

These special editions are totally unique, and no two SE's are the same. The SE's may include things such as bonus tracks, alternate album art, or other fun stuff. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
