There are at least 2 artists named HellRide: 1. Heavy Metal band from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina 2. Side project live band featuring former Porno for Pyros guitarist Peter DiStefano, former Minutemen, fIREHOSE, and Porno For Pyros bassist Mike Watt, and former Jane’s Addiction and Porno For Pyros drummer Stephen Perkins. 1) HellRide is a heavy metal band from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Driven by the love for southern rock and metal, and influenced by bands such as The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica, Pantera, Down, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity and of course Black Label Society, two founding members Emir Saracevic (bass) and Mirza Coric (guitars) have met in december 2010.

and started laying down tracks with riffs which eventually turned in to songs. Emir and Mirza are long time musicians, journalists and radio hosts with their own radio and TV shows, as well as band leaders: Emir: Machines Of Hate – death metal Snake Eater – Rock n' Roll The Aebys Radio Show host and producer Mirza: Gnu – heavy metal (1993 – 1996) Black Sheep – hard rock Music Life TV Show producer (2009 – 2010) Crna Ovca Radio Show host and producer Along the way, one very important factor happened, which is the joining of mighty voice to the band, the guy named Petar Bruic, who is the voice power of HellRide. Petar (nicknamed Pero, or Perica) sang in his own band Arhe covering thrash and power metal songs at a time, and since he liked southern metal, was happy to join the band. Every killer machine needs a driving power, and it was found in Damir Zirojevic (nicknamed Zira) who is a well established drummer of his own metal punk 180 bpm thrashing band Dözer. After a certain period, the band was joined by Gligor Popovic (Ofsajd, Snake Eater, Deus Ex Carousel). 2) Hellride is a side project live band featuring former Porno For Pyros guitarist Peter DiStefano, former Minutemen, fIREHOSE, and Porno For Pyros bassist Mike Watt, and former Jane's Addiction and Porno For Pyros drummer Stephen Perkins. The band, which is exclusively a live entity (although live recordings made by fans with Watt's and Perkins' blessing circulate), performs occasionally in Los Angeles-area clubs. Their entire set list is devoted to playing and reinterpeting the music of The Stooges by way of jazz legend John Coltrane.

The band grew out of Watt and Perkins' more frequent collaborations in the punk jazz improv group Banyan as well as Watt's brief stint as bassist with Porno for Pyros in 1996. On separate occasions, Watt did a Hellride performance on Halloween 2003 with The Secondmen (a band put together for Watt's The Secondman's Middle Stand drummer Jerry Trebotic substituting for Perkins, who was on a Jane's Addiction reunion tour at the time. He also performed in a "Hellride East" line-up in New York City in 2000 with Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis and Murph (Emmett Patrick Murphy) on guitar and drums respectively. Watt, almost ironically, has since gone on to replace deceased bassist Dave Alexander in the reformed Stooges with original members Iggy Pop, Ron Asheton, and Scott Asheton. Read more on Last.fm.
