Sørvaag’s first song that reached number one position on Norwegian charts was “Brief and Beautiful” in 2007, sang by Maria Arredondo. Sørvaag writes around 200 songs yearly, and is sought-after among songwriters and artists in Norway and internationally. She made history when she came in the international finals of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 in Oslo as the first female songwriter with two songs, “My Heart Is Yours” with Didrik Solli-Tangen presenting Norway, and “Shine” by Sofia Nizharadze presenting Georgia. Sørvaag released her first album “You Know Me” in 2002 under the artist name Paris. Her second album “Talk Of The Town” was released in 2006 under her own name. She had several top 10 singles in Norway, but she desided to focus on her songwriting career for a while.
In 2011 Sørvaag was back as an artist. She continued her solo career, and started the group Dollhouse Special with known songwriters and artists Simone Larsen and Laila Samuelsen. Sørvaag released her third album “Cover Me” in summer 2011. The single “You’re Like A Melody” was taking high positions on the Norwegian Radio Top 40 chart for many weeks.
In 2012 Sørvaag’s fourth album “All Is Forgiven” was released. Sørvaag spent the summer of 2012 in Nashville, where she wrote songs and collaborated with succesfull songwriters in the country genre, who wrote, among others, for artists such as Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts. The result was her first album in the country genre which was recorded in Norway with producer Jørn Dahl. Single “Days That End With Y” was the most played single on Norwegian radio stations for several weeks before Christmas.
An extensive tour followed in 2013. In November 2013 Sørvaag’s fifth album “Christmas Lights” was released. She continued to write songs in the country genre, this time with Christmas as a theme.
