Hannah Kelsy began her hospitalization on January 3, 2010 and as a patient in 3 different hospitals, Hannah Kelsy refused to let her dream go. On May 21, 2010 she was discharged from Boston Children’s Hospital. Hannah refused to let go of her dream. Five months of hospitalization and a rather unpromising prognosis, Hannah Kelsy spent the summer at the Massachusetts shore pushing herself to do all the things she was told she may never do again, like swimming, running, riding a bike or even exposure to heat or cold conditions. She worked tirelessly at her piano and vocal skills and returned to public school as a freshman in September 2010.
Prior to her illness Hannah Kelsy had started recording a CD of cover music called Meant 2B Me, she finished that by September 2010 and began searching for a major producer to help her with the next step in the music industry. October 2010 Hannah Kelsy was introduced to LA Music\TV and Feature Film Producer Tim Miner. Hannah Kelsy’s Aunt had met Tim Miner years ago at Church in Los Angeles. Hannah sent Tim an email introducing herself and a copy of her CD. After extensive conversations and a trip to Los Angeles to meet with Producer Tim Miner.
Hannah Kelsy and Tim had an immediate bond and the ride into the professional entertainment business began. October 2010, Hannah Kelsy began commuting to Los Angeles Music Producer Tim Miner and by May 2011 they had co-wrote and produced a 15 song Pop\Dance\Rock CD titled “Where I Belong”. Hannah Kelsy’s family saw her conviction and gave her 100% of their support. Getting a deal with a record label is not an easy task for an unknown, inexperienced, music outsider. Hannah Kelsy worked with her Dad (a small business owner) to set up her own label.
She started Hannah Kelsy Music, LLC and 520 Broadway Entertainment. She owns the co-wrote most of her music owns the Masters to her CD “Where I Belong” and owns 50% of the publishing rights to her music. Hannah Kelsy’s music is currently available on Itunes and is scheduled to launch a social media and radio campaign Summer 2011. Hannah Kelsy is also putting together a concert show scheduled to tour in 2012 is all goes right.
Hollywood Producer Aaron Pierce, who works with Tricky Stewart and the hit TV shoe American Idol, met with Hannah Kelsy in March 2011 and agreed to Remix three of her songs The remixes are completed and ready to release. “Where I Belong”, Hannah Kelsy’s music CD was completed and she decided it would make since to film a few music videos. The video “My Way This Time” is completed and “Not A Child” will be filmed this summer in New England where she grew up and currently lives. During the production of “My Way This Time”, Hannah Kelsy was given a script and approached to read for a staring roll on a TV Pilot “2 Cool 4 School”. Hannah Kelsy liked the script but was concerned with her school schedule and music career. After a few months of serious consideration, Hannah Kelsy discussed the TV Pilot with her family and decided with some changes she would love to pursue the opportunity.
Hannah Kelsy and her father met with the Producer, Writer and Director at a Hollywood Spanish Restaurant to try and hammer out the details. Everyone agreed to modify Hannah Kelsy’s role to in “2 Cool 4 School”, to something more in line with her real life. They also agreed that Hannah Kelsy would co-write and perform most of the music for the Pilot and ongoing episodes should it take off. Lastly, Hannah Kelsy wanted input on the script, cast and 50% ownership.
All of that was accomplished, the cast was chosen and pilot was filmed. It is almost done with postproduction and ready to offer to the major networks. Hannah Kelsy may have just turned 15 years old, but her heart, compassion, commitment and hard work is that of someone many years her senior. She spends most of her time in school, writing music, getting vocal, acting and piano coaching, overseeing the day to day affairs of her music label and entertainment company and enjoying her little sister and brothers. “I never had a real boyfriend or slow danced with anyone beside my dad or brothers.
