HD Substance (aka Luis Rozalén) has been exposed to electronic music since the late eighties. He bought his first synthesizer in 1987 and formed a band called Ballet Mecánico, heavily influenced by electronic pop music. Travelling to london he discovered acid house and the band LFO. Then he visited Detroit and came to know UR and Transmat.

Heavily shocked, he decided to start his career as a DJ after seeing Kenny Larkin on the first Sonar Festival in 1995. Soon after he created his first label Miranda records. In addition, he continuously releases on various labels from all over the world. His biggest commercial success is the label Atlas.

During three years he created a trademark of techno sound, appreciated by DJs worldwide including Carl Cox (regularly playing his tunes), Laurent Garnier and Richie Hawtin. His new child comes in three parts: the new label SHAREWARE and his cousins HARDWARE and SOFTWARE. Read more on Last.fm.
