Gurdonark's 2009 EP is "Seven Virtues", on jamendo, made available for free download on last.fm as well. Gurdonark actively supports liberal licensing of his work, and encourages and abets remixers, samplers, film-makers and video-makers as part of a "sharing culture" approach to music. Gurdonark's 2002 first album , released in analog CD form with fellow artist Scott_M, was entitled "Vibrating Electric Fields" (2002), which explored the musicality of the electric football field. He sold it DIY on eBay, where it found favor with enthusiasts of the vibrating sports platforms, as well as play on the OddMusic radio program and Goo Radio. His second release, "Eerie Exchange Prairie Park" (2005, on archive.org), combined field recordings of a city park with minimalist dark ambient electronica about the Texas Prairie. He released a series of EPs on the DiSfish Creative Commons collective netlabel, until that label's demise. He co-founded the netlabel Negative Sound Institute with Verian Thomas, which has successfully released ambient-related material since 2007. He remixes avidly and often, catching songs and samples and converting them into soundscapes.

He releases remixed songs and constructed samples at CCmixter.org. The holiday song “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” is available for free download from the Darkwinter netlabel compilation “A Candle’s Golden Glow”. The field recording song “Clear-cutting” is available for free download from the Wanderingear dot com netlabel album “Melt: Minnesota Remixed”. Gurdonark is 1/2 of the post-rock ensemble Negative Sound Institute, which has two EPs released at Negative Sound Institute, Music to Read Books By and The Tunnel at the End of the Light. His collaboration with Lezrod on the song “Final Dub” has been released on Lezrod’s album “Data Transfer” on the Zymogen netlabel. His remix of In Vitro’s song “El Fin de los Tiempos” is part of his Kreislauf netlabel release at: http://www.archive.org/deta... His remix of “3 Lights Fog” was released in Volume 1 of the Resting Bench Remix Project, at Earth Monkey Productions netlabel. His remix of Mystified’s “particular streams”, entitled “Belleville Saga” was released on the netlabel Treetrunk. Gurdonark lives twenty five miles north of Dallas in the southern tip of the prairie transition zone.
