GROOVELIKER is one of Poland's top djs, voted number 3 in TOP 100 POLISH DJs by the readers of Poland's major clubbing/dance music magazine called LAIF in 2002, voted number 4 in 2003, number 8 in 2004 and number 5 in 2005; he is the only dj apart from Angelo Mike and Glasse who has been in the Top Ten of this dj chart every year since its very beginning; also chosen one of Poland's top 5 DJs in POLISH DANCE AWARDS. He has always been involved in some kind of activity connected with music. In late 80s and early 90s he organized and played at parties with all kinds of alternative music: industrial, new beat, electro body music, etc. For a few years he was also involved in organizing and helping at organizing concerts and tours of independent bands coming to Poland (post punk, noise, industrial, punk, hardcore, etc.). He consequently became interested in new genres of electronic music, including what was later called 'techno'. In 1997, together with two friends, he established a small independent company called CITY BEATS - they have been releasing CDs and cassettes, selling vinyl from many international labels all over Poland as a mail-order shop and also booking both Polish and famous international djs for parties all over the country.

For good few years, Grooveliker's trademark were london style underground techno and acid techno. He played at many small, underground parties all over the country and also at numerous squat parties and so-called teqnivals. He is personally responsible for bringing many respected underground artists and famous international djs to Poland - due to his passionate approach towards music, personal contacts and dedication, Polish crowds saw for the first time the talents of e.g. Henry Cullen aka Dave the Drummer, Oxia, Rowland The Bastard, Leandro Gamez, Emerson, Cyber Steve, Cristian Varela, Julian Sandell aka Julian Liberator, Preach, Southsoniks, DDR, Tom Hades, Takaaki Itoh, Brian Sanhaji, Oliver Ho, Robert Natus, Alex Flatner, Mark Tyler, Jack de Marseille, Gizelle, Asem Shama, Ant, Pounding Grooves, Glenn Wilson, Alex Bau and many more. Among some other artists that thanks to his efforts have played in Poland once, twice, or, in some cases, several times, have been also e.g.

Chris Liberator, Holgi Star, Massimo, Lawrie Immersion, Chris Liebing, Gaetano Parisio, Rino Cerrone, Eric Sneo, Rafael Araujo, James Ruskin, Dave Shokh, Marco Remus, Zebedee and many more ... His musical taste has been constantly changing and getting broader. These days Grooveliker most willingly plays a mixture of various shades of tribal and funky techno, also sometimes adding a bit of progressive/ tech-trance/ trance/electro/electroclash or tech-house/house on top of it, or, if asked to do so, plays full sets in one of the mentioned styles. However, he is also still happy to play harder techno or acid techno if requested to do so, as he simply loves to play the tracks that he likes, no matter what genre reviewers call them. He's released a few CD compilations, including a dj-mix CD for Poland's leading clubbing magazine called "TECHNO PARTY" (1999), a CD compilation entitled "Techno Traxx - Trancemission BPM" (1998), a CD entitled "The Sound of the London Underground" (2001), a dj mix for LAIF magazine called "Funky Acid Techno" (2004) plus a few others. He has been booked to play at various parties along such international djs/ acts as e.g.: OXIA, RICHIE HAWTIN, FERGIE, CRISTIAN VARELA, MAURO PICOTTO, SOUTHSONIKS, DEEP DISH, LUCCA, DAVE CLARKE, GABRIEL & DRESDEN, PAUL VAN DYK, BOB SINCLAIR, OLAV BASOSKI, POUNDING GROOVES, LEANDRO GAMEZ, CHRIS LIEBING, RONI SIZE, GAETANO PARISIO aka GAETEK, REDHEAD, GLENN WILSON, OLIVER HO, MISJAH, TAKKYU ISHINO, KOSHEEN, AUDIO BULLYS, MARCO BAILEY, TAKAAKI ITOH, DJ PREACH, DAVE SHOKH, WESTBAM, THE ADVENT, JAMES RUSKIN, HYPER, ROBERT NATUS, DJ EMERSON, TOM HADES, ALEX BAU, RINO CERRONE, MARCO REMUS, MARCO V, GUNJAH, HIGH CONTRAST, TREVOR ROCKCLIFFE, FREESTYLERS, ANDY C, BRIAN SANHAJI, LEXY & PAUL, SHAPESHIFTERS, JAY RODGERS, LARS KLEIN, MOGUAI, TIM TAYLOR, SECRET CINEMA, PATRIK SKOOG, JACK DE MARSEILLE, MASSIMO, TOMCRAFT, LONDON ELEKTRICITY, ASEM SHAMA, HOLGI STAR, CHRIS LIBERATOR, HENRY CULLEN aka DAVE THE DRUMMER, IAN DRIVER, DR MOTTE, REINHARDT VOIGT, OBERON, HARDY HARD, MARIO RANIERI, ROB ACID, SCARLETT ETIENNE, ANT, MARUSHA, ZINC, SVEN WITTEKIND, GIZELLE, AMOK, MICK BEATLE, JULIAN LIBERATOR, LEO LAKER, MICHAEL KUPILAS, RIKSTA, MARK TYLER, PAULA TEMPLE, AARON LIBERATOR, DDR, ALEX HEXXEN, JAMES KINETEC, DARREN CROWLEY, MICKEY FINN, FRANK KVITTA, MR. Apart from that, they are working on some other projects, one of them being TERROR SMITH. This year they both launched Citybeats Records, a project consisting of four separate digital labels (Urbantek, Urbantech, Urbanhouse and Urbanelectro, each dedicated to a different genre. Their releases can be obtained via Trackitdown.Net and Juno.Co.UK plus all their associated shops.
