There are multiple artists that go by the name Goma. 1) GOMA is a Jungle Music producer and pioneering Japanese didgeridoo player. In the 1998 Arnhemland Barunga Didgeridoo Competition (judged by Galarrwuy Yunupingu), Goma received a prize, surprising audiences by being the first non-Aboriginal to be recognized. Since that time, as a solo player, session musician, and band member, he has steadily increased his audience by consistently striving to innovate and expand his musical horizons. His recent work: the album "Soul of Rite", features Goma with Bill Laswell and Karsh Kale was just released; GOMA and the Jungle Rhythm Section released "Rhythm and Breath"; the band Night Jungle, featuring Goma, released the album "Jungle Cruise"; and Goma played at the Fuji Rock Festival and other events. Also, Japanese soccer sensation Hidetoshi Nakata included music by Goma in a music compilation album he put together in honor of the World Cup. His talk with Don Letts, Grammy award film maker has appeared in magazine(s).

He also contributed to the soundtrack of a Nikon D3 commercial which appeared on television in Europe and China, as well as appearing on Sony Walkman CM, and contributing to other company promotional videos including The North Face Japan, and so on. In the spring of 2008, Goma released "Cyborg", an album of dance music which even more deeply explores the musical possibilities of the didgeridoo. The didgeridoo is a wind instrument made from trunks or branches of the eucalyptus tree which have been hollowed out by termites. It is an ancient, traditional musical instrument, and creates a spacey, natural sound. Goma’s strength as a musician is his unique fusion of the natural, ancient tones of the didgeridoo with cutting edge technology. http://www.myspace.com/gomadadidgeridoo 2) Goma was a progressive rock band from Spain that released two albums: 14 Abril (1975) and Goma 2 (1979). They combined elements of flamenco guitar with progressive rock music for a uniquely Spanish sound. 3) Renato Schnyder is a dedicated musician since his early childhood.

As a teenager he founded the cross-over band Panorama together with some friends, where he played the lead-guitar and wrote also the bass- and baselines and arranged the songs. Always an open mind for the whole spectrum of music, he discovered in 1998 this special kind of music, called psytrance or goa and soon he realized that this is the sound where he’ll express himself as a musician! So he became a Dj and played for two years as Dj GOMA at a lot of parties in Switzerland, before he decided in 2002 to produce his own music and to join the swiss psytrance label nandan production. Soon he had his first live act, at the atmosphere festival, and from that point he travelled with his music around the world and played already in Brazil, Israel, France, Germany, Austria…. His music you can describe as energetic morning full on with strong baselines and beautiful melodies, always well arranged and produced.

He already worked together with Fatali from BNE or Xerox&Illumination, and he had several releases on some international compilations like shiva space technology japan - and some further releases will come... In summer 2008 GOMA started also a new progressive trance project- MODE MODULAR together with his friend Roger aka Mindsurfer, and they just finished their first live-set. Read more on Last.fm.
