More than one artist uses this name. 1) Gifthorse, also known as Gift Horse played instrumental, progressive, heavy, haunting, soundtrack skate rock in San Francisco, circa 1991-1996. Formed in '91, broke up in '94 shortly after releasing an eponymous CD. Gifthorse got back together for another recording and a few more shows in '95/'96. The band consists of Mike Hoover (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Aguiar (bass, vocals) and Tommy Messinger (drums). The band released their debut EP Motorista in 2005, which was re-issued on Lakeland Records UK in 2008.
