De Meijer's roots were in folk and blues, but along the way he became a very versatile guitar player, using many different techniques.

Inspired by great artists like John Fahey, Leo Kottke, Bruce Cockburn and Richard Thompson, he created his own, unique style. On 27 December, 2006 he died at the age of 53, after only a short illness (lung cancer). Read more on Last.fm.
