(Born Oct. 18, 1968 in Copenhagen, Denmark) Is for most people still pretty much unknown. From sitting behind the kit, drumming as well as engineering and producing for other artists and bands both on stage and in various studios since 1981. Though he has performed thousands of concerts and appears on a few domestic albums and independent releases with artists and bands from all across the globe whilst touring the world-wide accordingly. Artists worked with: Karl Sivertsen (Ulo), Kenny Lübcke (Totem), Lannie Moe (Dynamoe), Knut Henriksen (Bifrost) John Teglgaard (Bifrost), Martin "The Fiddler" Andersen (Gasolin) Jørgen Lang (Anne Linnet), Louise Brüel, The Black Rose (Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy tribute), Judas Killaz (Judas Priest tribute) The French Cabaret, Børge Biceps, The Dimes, Chimbo's Revival (and hundreds more). Supported other Danish acts (known internationally): D-A-D, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Kashmir, Tim Christensen, Carpark North (the list goes on and on). International acts supported:Sly Dunbar, Saga, Chris Cornell, Katrina and the Waves, The Animals (and many more). Gert started playing the drums at the age of 12, motivated by childhood friend Morten Friis (Safri Duo) whom back then played the snare drum at the Danish National Tivoli garden. Already and only one year later in 1981, Gert performed behind the drums at his first concerts and since then it took of inceasingly with more frequent work assignments with various bands and artists. Very soon he also gained the interest for the guitar and bass as well as the producing and recording technics and started composing his own first songs around the age of 14.

From the age of 16 and practically launching his career as professional drummer, though still working part time jobs, Gert often played in sometimes up to 5-6 groups at a time, most of them different and diverse in styles and genres which have given him a broad palette of styles and capable of addapting to almost any kind of music today.
