"That's when I fell in love with the "BIG BAND" sound Determination has always played a big part in Gerri Granger's life when she crashed landed on a solo flight, where she lived in Nigeria, West Africa, it made her more determined than ever to get her private pilot license. So back to the States and a Colorado Flight School. When she was told she had to speak German to sing on a German TV series, back she went to Switzerland (where she also lived awhile) to take an intensive Language course. What is GERRI GRANGER up to now? After what she calls her "Hiatus" from the stage, she has taken her "Act" on the "High Seas" .... Where you might catch her sailing to "anyplace" that's "far-away," where she has never been before. For the last two years GERRI has also been working on original song material for an upcoming CD Release.
She worked on a very exciting music project in Fort Lee, N.J. with music legend "Yuochio Oda." GERRI is presently working on her autobiography and she hopes to release here book sometime in 2006. GERRI borrows this famous line: "I'm back on the road again, making music with and for my friends. Granger is a singer and entertainer. She appeared on the Johnny Carson show over 45 times, the Mike Douglas Show, Steve Allen Show, and the Ed Sullivan Show. She toured the world with Sammy Davis, Jr. as his opening act.
She has appear in Los Vegas and Lake Tahoe with Redd Foxx, Joey Bishop, Totie Fields, and others. She has recorded for 20th Century Fox, headlined at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, worked at the Apollo, and opened for the legendary Sam Cooke. Read more on Last.fm.
