There are apparently three different Galder. One Galder is a Norwegian guitarist and vocalist whose real name is Thomas Rune Andersen. Another Galder was a group from sweden playing their own music in tradition of swedish folk music. The third Galder is a small gammaldans-group from Vestlandet, Norway. Norwegian Galder is a founding member of the black metal band Old Man's Child as well as a guitarist in Dimmu Borgir. In 1993, under the stage name Grusom, he, Jardar and Tjodalv created Old Man's Child. Galder is also a talented multi-instrumentalist. He played the bass and synthesizers, along with guitar on some of Old Man's Child albums. He joined Dimmu Borgir in 2001 but has kept Old Man's Child alive. Galder has also worked with other Norwegian bands like Dødheimsgard.

Member of Dødheimsgard Aldrahn wrote some of the lyrics for Old Man's Child demo album In the Shades of Life.
