Then at the tender age of 12 (1998) here comes the wicked clowns AKA ICP into the life and mind of Grave. Here began an onslaught of great times growing up as a juggalo (which he still proudly states being one today). This is where it started to finally make sense for him. Grave began writing death metal lyrics for a band he and his childhood homies tried to start but was unsuccessful in doing.
But that didn’t stop him from continuing a music career since throughout his life he was always playing instruments such as guitar bass drums keyboards etc. Now at 17 he drops outta school (2003) and gets a G.E.D (whoop dee doo) and hustles to buy studio gear and equipment while still writing and even recording on some karaoke tape shits, a few yrs pass while having recorded on tape only. Then BAM! in 2006 Gravedog attended the Conservatory of recording arts and Sciences in Phoenix,AZ in hopes of becoming the dopest recording engineer as well as recording master with Pro-tools needless to say he only got about 75% with that and dropped out (finacial reasons). Now having learned the basics and some intricacies of studio recording and engineering it is now March 07 and grave goes home (expecting another child as well) to get busy recording and molding his own style.
Some tracks get put down and are good you want to know why they were good? Because that same yr he decides to send his music to Psychopathic Records in hopes to perform at the Bomb House at The Gathering of the Juggalos 07 and what do you know…he got his spot. With moral at an all time high, he feels good about it, and guess what it will his very first live performance! The GOTJ comes and goes now with that in the books Grave continues to grow his musical prowess and puts out a few jams, does another show in AZ this time, then comes 08. . .
silence…09…silence. Now 2010 The buzz is back! After a 2 yr hiatus (depression of the music scene) and after aquiring some new gear its on halloween 2010 proved that Grave didnt go anywhere be cause he put it down dirty at his annual halloween bash with new jams and live performance. It’s only gonna get better from here on out so if you wanna join the ride strap your jordans on run and hop on in because he stoppin for no one, much love to all the people that support these efforts!
