Later, Billy the drummer left the band. Giannis and Spiros worked with members of Yell-O-Yell for further recordings, until in 1987 when they finally made their last recording alone, with just synthesizers. Giannis left for studies in Sweden and upon return to Greece, he formed Elfish Records and Raw (an electronic duet) together with Makis Faros. Elfish Records was a music label that focused on contemporary electronic music forms by releasing vinyl or CD albums and compilations of local and international bands such as Raw, Coti K., In Trance 95, Lanterna, Swamp Terrorists, Clock DVA, Electroware, Tresspassers W, Sub, Rehearsed Dreams, Pankow, Nesfindonimus, Σάρκα and Ilios among others. In April 1996 Elfish Records ceased its activities, Raw disbanded and Giannis switched to ION by releasing his first mini album “Sauna” through Sonar Recordings, which he featured two exclusive remixes of Mikael Delta.

ION's music was always characterized by its underground repetitive minimalism. Influenced by the German school of Kraut-rock and by the Berlin-based Basic Channel collective, ION was probably the first Greek artist to appear at live performances with only a portable laptop linked to a sampler. After only a few vinyl releases, but with countless appearances in clubs, live venues and festivals, 2005 marked his return to discography with the release of “No Camera” album (20/10) through KLIK Records, probably the most active EDM label in Greece at the time. His track “May Nothing But Laughter” was chosen by Hiroshi Watanabe (a.k.a Kaito) and was included in his first dj-mix-set which was released under the title “Sounds of Instruments Vol.
