Fractured Inspirations

Fractured Inspirations began around 2000 by Daniel Rubin, as a close relation to The Fractured Project. The main style of his music is ambient, background, and mood-setting. All of his music is available under the Creative Commons license. While most of the first album, Life of Sound (2003) is melancholic, and made with mostly a small pool of digital instruments, some songs became popular among the Fractured Project's fanbase, and convinced him to produce his sets of music into albums and release them as a splinter of the Fractured Project. Of his early songs, Undercurrent is the most well known. His second Album, Five (2005) marks Daniel's experimentation with more heavily digital music.

Unfortunately, due to constraints, every song was made, start to finish, in a single sitting. The songs in this album are far more varied, and cover a wider variety of tones. At this point, The Fractured Project had a text based game running on the storyline, and several community friends requested music for pet games they were creating. This led him, briefly, into doing several song covers for Mega Man and Sonic games included in the album. The third album, Glory Days (2006) incorporates much of the variety of Five with some of the darker feel of Life of Sound.

This album is marked with a new change: the last six songs are actually only 3, each having an instrumental version, and a version with vocals and lyrics done by Daniel. In early 2007, graduation and a house fire put a delay into plans to work on a fourth album, which was not completed until 2009. The album's name "Return To Your Post" came from a section of the Fractured Project story that did not survive the fire; Originally it was to be named "Memories". 2009 could be considered a particularly productive year, as Daniel released another, shorter album named "Empire".
