When they had most of the material written they entered a studio in Malvern Pennsylvania during the summer of 1995 and recorded the album consisting of five songs: The Undiscovered Numbers & Colors, Far Cry Behind, The Other side of the End of the Univers, a piano interlude titled Delve and Destination Undefined. Around 1996 Deron and Jess started writting and recording more material for Foreign Objects with John Teague, who had set up a recording studio in his house. They recorded 10 instrumentals, three of the songs are on CKY's "Volume 2". The songs being Foreign Objects #10 (later renamed Universal Culture Shock) Testing (later renamed Test it Out) and Planetary.
Then something happened, and Foreign Objects disbanded and shortly reformed as Oil, but a completely different band emerged. Oil was not death metal, but rock (also with Deron and Jess) Then they made Oil less "mainstream", and formed CKY and met Chad Ginsburg. Many years later, as CKY grew, fans started to find out more about the history of the band pre-CKY and interest in Foreign Objects grew. Now the 10 previously unreleased songs appear on the CD "Universal Culture Shock", along with a remastered version of The Undiscovered Numbers & Colors.
Some songs had vocals added to them and some songs stayed as instrumentals. The CD was recorded and released in 2004. All the songs were remasterd by James Murphy who also played guest solos on every track. A bonus track was covered in "Foreign Objects style", the song being "Big Boy" by Sparks. 2) Foreign objects is a female fronted punk band from Massachusetts.
The band features members of the Conversions, Libyans, Red Thread, and Ampere. A demo & a three song e.p. called "Leave Me" (joint released by Loud Punk & Shock To the System Records) were released in 2009. A 3-way split with American Cheeseburger & Defect Defect plus a 12inch is scheduled for released in 2010. Read more on Last.fm.
