Foglizard began their descent into willful obscurity as a mysterious electronic improv band whose credo “The music of the future isn’t music” served as a training mantra begetting the question, if it isn’t music, then what is it? Sequestered in a former stable, brothel, chicken shack coverted into a topflight recording studio they determined it was an avoidance of drums, blues, or anything resembling a rock band. Hours of 2 track DAT masters were created and casually mixed out by the pool over cases of Steel Reserve and occasionally released as Cd’s under a name, which due to reasons kept to themselves, cannot be mentioned here. In the fall of 2002, Sharky Mao Tao booked an imaginary band called C******! into a Halloween bill at a local former gay bar purporting to be performing as Cheap Trick. He employed Beast and Q, with BBjesus auditioning later as part of the rhythm section. Instead of learning any Cheap Trick songs the quartet wrote six originals at the first rehearsal.

D-Lux returned from an espionage-filled South American assignment under a hail of bullets and indictments and was drawn into the project as vocalist. The success of the gig resulted in a lucrative recording contract with Useless Records, who eventually released the debut Cd entitled simply C******! This led to a short, mayhem fueled tour characterized by large adoring crowds so demanding that D-Lux was permanently hospitalized after joining a religious cult, causing the rest of the band to go into hiding, quit smoking, and change their name to Foglizard to avoid the inevitable legal problems. Now working at a secret location they plot the usual world domination, one block at a time. Read more on Last.fm.
