Flying Fists

"The Flying Fists" is a musical project of 6 friends from a suburb of Munich, Germany. Two of them had already been friends for years when they discovered that their musical preferences were very similar and so they started to make some music just for fun. Their "band" consisted of a drummer and a guitarist which wasn't really enough to perform on stage. In 2005 they were joined by a bassist and the next year a second guitarist and a keyboarder followed. They mostly played covers from well-known songs of the Metal/Alternative Rock scene. When their guitarist came up with the first song that he had written himself they knew they had to take the chance and started making their own music.

But when the band's decision was to cover the Cranberries' hit "Zombie" they had to find a female lead-singer for their band. It didn't take a long time to find someone and so they were six "fists". The powerful voice of their new singer is well appreciated by critics. In summer 2007 the keyboarder had to leave for personal reasons but they kept on making music despite this heavy loss for the band. Their first album "Flying Fists" came out (for free) in late spring 2008. Now the Flying Fists are working on new songs.
