He has also worked closely over the yeras with Gerald Short at Jazzman records.re-issuing rare and very collectable records on to limited edition 45s. Untill in 2005 Malachi started SKYLINE RECORDINGS. This was a great way of releasing there own music. Ed met Malachi, he was running Woolly Mammoth records, a vehicle for his eight-piece funk outfit, “Pushmipullyu”.

Over the next few years he went on to start two drum and bass labels, Federation Records, and Central Intelligence. During this time, he released a number of well-received dance floor fillers, by DJ Kalm, vocal outfit 'Citizen and Flying Fish, regularly receiving props and airplay from the likes of Fabio and Mary Ann Hobbs. Currently he now creates music for high-profile TV and Radio production company Delicious Digital, which operates from its West London Studio. Ed met Malachi working in a record shop in Kingston.

At the time, both Ed & Malachi were really into jazz funk and loved playing with beats. So they started off creating drum & bass with a jazzy overtone in Ed’s little studio in Chiswick. Ed had a converted bedroom with an Atari computer, Clavinet Keyboard and Fender Rhodes with a Hammond organ in the garage. Malachi had a bag full of funky breaks and samples.

Both set out creating sample sandwiches and funky soul food beats. First finished recordings ended up being Drum and Bass, so when thinking of a name for our band.
