Flawed By Design
Flawed by Design is a hard-hitting, metal band based in North Carolina. The band entered The Basement Studio in early 2014 and recorded a full-length CD with producer Jamie King (For Today, Between the buried and me). After working with a couple different bass players, Davie Huffman proved to have the skills and mindset to complete the band’s foundation. The search for a vocalist started and proved to be an endless pursuit. Singers came and went and even after solidifying the line-up and releasing a four-song EP, things quickly fell apart and the group found themselves without a frontman once again. 2013 rolled around and the guy’s were united with the creative vocal styling of Dillon Reynolds.
Everything clicked instantly, and the band began working on new material. Musically the band’s sound centers on the heavy riff styling of guitarist, Tony Greer while Bassist, Davie Huffman, lays down a backbone of thick grooves. The vocals of Dillon Reynolds can be described as a gritty, streetwise assault, and drummer, Shane Atkinson, glues it all together with thunderous double bass. This combination results in a unique and powerful sonic attack that detours through many highs and lows.
Not to be overshadowed is the bands lyrics and positive message that comes from confronting many of life’s struggles and the group’s Christian lifestyle. While a lot of metal bands delve into the dark subject matter of violence and murder, Flawed by Design want to empower their fans with an uplifting message of hope that comes from salvation. The band is currently working independently while in search of a label to help the band to the next level. Read more on Last.fm.
