Everything started with a dream.. Two brothers from San Juan, Puerto Rico (Giancarlo Detres-Perez & Agustin Xavier Frias-Perez) decided to move into the mountains of Boulder, CO. in search of like minded musicians to share their passion. Everything started with a dream.. Two brothers from San Juan, Puerto Rico (Giancarlo Detres-Perez & Agustin Xavier Frias-Perez) decided to move into the mountains of Boulder, CO. in search of like minded musicians to share their passion. There they spent awhile trying to make things happen but everything seemed to be ending before it began.

One day, a call changed their course.. The birds from the south started to chirp. Quickly they made haste and the rivers lead to the ocean. Hello Florida! "The Sunshine State", the flowers started to blossom and the sun was finaly out, it felt fresh and exciting..

Just what they needed. There, time passed and many musicians were taken under consideration.. Until a day at the park brought the light to the dark. Ivan Jemaima (Guitar) a fellow traveler from Baranquillas, Colombia was drawn by the melodies that whispered in his ears and followed the voices that wandered the trees eventualy taking him to meet the brothers.

After instantly blending with them he decided to get on board. Flashbang Utopia was born. With a studio session already scheduled at Studio Center Miami and only 1 week of rehearsing they went on to record their first single "Wonder, ponder, find your thunder!". After a successful recording with great feedback from the studio they decided to go out and strengthen their numbers.

Wesley Scott (Drummer) was the perfect fit for this trio, he joined in giving a heartbeat to the group. Months of playing together one day marked their hearts forever. July 3rd 2012 was a sad day, their drummer had passed away.. Promising each other to never give up, they went on to play a couple of small shows and plan on moving forward to spread a message that will change lives forever, including their own.
