Fire It Up! was a 5-piece band from South Brunswick, NJ. It was formed in December 2005, combining the talents of Mike Micelli (vocals), Justin Paul (guitar), Pat Dennis (guitar), Brett Bretterson (bass), and Anthony Galasso (drums). Throughout their years of playing, they traveled to many places throughout the east coast, but mainly performed in their home state of New Jersey. Their most common sightings were at The Stone Pony and The Hamilton Street Cafe. Fire It Up! wrote and recorded two albums ("A Day Without Irony" [2006] and "To Awaken The Ghost..." [2007]), played nearly one hundred shows up and down the east coast, and shared the stage with many other incredible bands. In addition to their recording and touring, Fire It Up! entered many contests to land spots at music festivals.

In 2006, they entered The Break Contest and won a slot at Bamboozle, an extremely popular music festival held annually at The Meadowlands. They played alongside bands such as Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail, AFI, and other popular bands. They then played for a spot on the 2007 Warped Tour, another nationally recognized music festival that travels all across the country. The group disbanded in 2007 so that members could move on to various other projects.

They thanked all of their fans for such great support throughout their time together. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
