They also had a little drum machine, one of the early Boss ones I think, but I can't remember the model. That's certainly the equipment they were using when I first met them. My name is Graeme Cammack and I joined some time in 1980 (maybe '81, my memory is appalling these days) to take over Anne's role playing the bass lines on the Wasp while Richie played lead synth on the Moog. The line up was then augmented by Kenny Young on vocals and we played a handful of gigs around central Scotland. I can remember the names of the venues but not the dates.
Our first gig was at a night club called Le Clique in Stirling. We played a couple in Glasgow, one at The Rock Garden (where we were heckled by Edwyn Collins of Orange Juice) and one at The Waterfront. We also played a gig at Valentino's in Edinburgh as part of the 'Electric Circus' multimedia event. By that stage we had been joined by a third synth player, Alastair Robertson, who played a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 synth.
Alastair had also released a single on his own private label. It was called 'Green For Go' and went under the name of 100% Man Made Fibre. I used to have a copy but it's long gone, which is a shame because it was rather good. He also used to release cassette tapes with a guitarist friend of his, under the name of The Klingons.
The last Final Program gig I can remember was at The International Hotel (I think that was the name) in Grangemouth but although I remember being at the gig (because Liz Fraser of The Cocteau Twins was there on the dancefloor) I don't remember playing so I think it was maybe just after I left the band. My memory ain't what it used to be! All this took place between 1980 and 1982, as far as I recall. After that point I completely lost touch with all members of the band and I don't know if they continued playing and recording. I certainly never heard of them again.
