An Instrumental Juggernaut. Just one of the many adjectives you’ll hear on the lips of locals to describe Miami, FL based duo Fight Like Animals. Called everything from “An unlikely mash up of Ratatat, Explosions in the Sky and Joe Satriani.” to “A bastard child of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Explosions in the Sky, twice removed.” Fight Like Animals brings with them a tapestry of sound that invades the soul. Comprised of producer/ guitarist Brett Flaherty and primary songwriter/ guitarist Rostislav (Steve) Vaynshtok, the young band has made a few dents in the steel doors of the music industry.

Endorsed by musical instrument makers Gibson Guitars, Orange Amplifiers, Visual Sound Pedals, Wolfetone Custom Pickups, Bawls Guarana and Blackbird Pedalboards, the one year old group already lists an impressive support roster behind them. Brett has even played on and produced a song for Tommy Lee's new Methods of Mayhem album. Layering an arrangement of beats and synthesizers with catchy guitar riffs, they create a sound all their own. With a passion for music and a penchant for crafting songs that have both the intensity to fight to, and the immensity to die to, the band truly finds a fitting moniker in their title of Fight Like Animals.

Their debut EP “In The Company of Monsters” drops May 21st on all major digital retailers. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
