ADD FAST REACTION ON FACEBOOK: http://apps.facebook.com/entertainment/id_1209 Fast Reaction began back in 2000, after playing local shows at likely venues (Flapper and firkin, Edwards no8 and The Old Railway) in their hometown of Birmingham. The addition of second guitarist and a change in drummer watermarked the start of something a bit more than initially expected. After a short period of time, the venues in which they played considerably changed in size, currently playing regularly at the Academy empire and Barfly venues. To date, they have played over 200 shows and festivals, being opening act for bands such as Allister, Useless ID, Hayseed Dixie, MC Lars, No hope in New Jersey, and many more.

Since 2002 Fast Reaction has toured up and down the country, importing The No One (Italy) for support on their first UK tour. This was a huge success. Among the many achievements made within their career, the highest to date is being in the top 5 acts chosen to play at Jools Hollands own venue in the 96.4fm BRMB talent search in accordance with Party in the Park. Being hand-picked by a panel of judges including people from V2 records and The Independent news paper, Fast reaction sealed a slot at the final of which over 1000 bands entered.

More recently, being picked from many other UK bands, they were chosen once again by a panel of judges to take part of the Taste of Chaos 2006 at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire and Underoath. After the large scale internet exposure Japanese record label Kick Rock Music signed and exclusive contract with them to join their roster which includes the likes of Valencia, I voted for Kudos, The Spacepimps, The Fight and many more, and to release the first self titled EP nationwide across Japan. This CD is now available nationwide and is available in Tower Records, HMV, and all high street retailers. Work has now finished on their first full length album, 'Behind The Scenes', which is available online from Big Cartel.

Currently still unsigned in the United Kingdom, hopes for interest to rise in the coming months are high. Now gaining radio play on stations such as Kerrang! and press in magazines around the globe, a prosperous future looks evident. Read more on Last.fm.
