The band began with the name of Woody and the Woodpeckers, the lineup consisting of Andrew Wood, Jesse Bilodeau, Andrew Pacey and Jordan Greenman. This band had pop-punk influences and wrote pop-punk songs. Due to commitment reasons, Andrew Wood would leave Woody and the Woodpeckers. Needing a guitarist, Woody and the Woodpeckers would call in a close friend named Shaun Anderson, and their sound took on new influences such as taking back sunday, creating a curve in the writing process.

The band renamed themselves Falling For Romance to reflect their new harder songs and more emotional lyrics. After playing shows at the local youth centre and one show with is grace enough, Jesse backed down as lead singer to focus on guitar and backing vocals. They called in another close friend Kurtis Armstrong to take over as lead vocalist, making the band complete. When Andrew "PJ" Pacey was no longer able to play in the group, Dan Aitken would become the temporarily become the group's bassist.

After a couple of shows, they realized how well Dan was working out, and decided to keep him on full time. Falling For Romance played with such bands as The Fully Down, Is Grace Enough, The Transit, Blessed by a Broken Heart, and Open Stitches. They released one EP entitled A Million One Liners Wont Bring You Back, featuring the songs Silhouette, Love Notes On Scarred Arms, and Hanging On. Members of Falling for Romance later went on to form The Worrell Charm. Official site: http://www.fallingforromance.tk/ Read more on Last.fm.
