Formed in November of 2009, Ethereal Genocide had a shaky existence with frequent concerns involving the line-up, determined to make it, Guitarist Zim Smith and Drummer Daniel Tipton would continue to write music as Ethereal Genocide through anything. The band's first steady line up consisted of lead guitarist Zim Smith, drummer Daniel Tipton, Julius Macedonia on vocals, Chris Johnson on rhythm guitar, Jesse Free on keys and synth, and Chris McCarty on bass, this line-up would continue to write and play music all over Virginia. During this time, Chris Johnson would move to Germany and would be replaced former Demora guitarist Dave Geary. With Dave on board the band continued to rampage the region with glorious metal! Soon following the Blood and Fire: Pure Metal Festival. It was certain that Daniel would be leaving for China. At the same time it was decided that Julius would leave to peruse other projects and Chris McCarty would be leaving for college.

The band had but one show left with Powerglove. This would be the last time this line-up would play live, with the exception of Chris McCarty who had already left for college. After this show the band would be in the market for nearly all new members. Previous thoughts on replacement drummers, after Daniel announced his departure, would lead the band to Zim Smiths' previous band mate in Rebel Circus, Jacob Johnson, who was previously been "moonlighting" for the band. Jacob Joined the band officially in September.

With the search for a new bass player not going well, Jesse Free would assume the role to fill the gap leaving the keys aside. After a long stretch of uncertainty with vocalists Ethereal Genocide would find what they were looking for at the end of January of 2011. Invader drummer Will Sowdon would take over on vocals, the bands search for a dedicated keyboard player is still ongoing. With the band's new found life, they returned to take over the scene, playing shows in Maryland and Virginia with bands such as Deathalizer and Apothys, and would again share the stage with our friends in Powerglove and the Virginia born Arsis. Now with new music and their debut release on the way Ethereal Genocide proves why they arel a force to be reckoned with. .......To Be Continued Read more on Last.fm.
