Enten Hitti is an ambient group from Italy, founded in 1990 by Pierangelo Pandiscia and Gino Ape, with the main aim is to build an open project for the exploration and research of the intersections between electronics, ethnic and ritual music, and songwriting. Enten Hitti proposes itself as a sound laboratory inspired by archaic music. Besides classical instruments, they use stones, wood, shells, bones, nails, dried seeds, and ethnic instruments. The music composed are usually based on the melody, the rhythm and sequence of modal more than on harmony and tonal system. Important in this context is the experience of "orchestra of nature", with concerts and performances in the caves of Toirano (Liguria), among the rocks of Parco delle Incisioni Rupestri in Valcamonica, in the woods of Vallée des Merveilles (Provence). At the same time undertake a research project on music and trance in the various ethnic traditions, in particular the Enten Hitti have met and experienced the songs, rhythms and rituals of the Gnawa Brotherhood of Marrakesh (Morocco), the techniques of overtone singing Mongolian shamans and the Republic of Tuva ( work with master Tran Quang Hai and Sainko Namchalk ) and esoteric songs of Haitian voodoo Maud Robart but with attention to the "modern". Enten Hitti use, study and experiment with electronic instruments and computers to create sounds, and search for "matches".

In many years of activities, almost always underground, Enten Hitti tried to overcome the classical concert form in favor of the installation of sound and performance. From the Patafisica Festival in Milan with sounds drawn on the walls to the facilities of sound sculptures, they have made a number of events and performances that often have no trace except in the memories of those who were there. Over the years they have released different sound materials: "Giant Clowns of the Solar World", "Musica Humana", "The Conference of the Birds", "To All the Hurricanes That Passed Us", distributed by Amplexus, CPI / Polygram, Projekt, Tzadik, Faria Record. Enten Hitti has also composed music for RAI, some theater, participated in the publishing project "the voice on the move" - Archive of sound poetry of the 900" Momo / Harta, performed and produced video research.
