ElixirOnMute is an American progressive/fusion rock band from Boston, MA, with also connections in California. Led by the young guitar virtuoso Jordan Ferreira, the band is rounded out by a cadre of players whose contributions round out the rotating ElixirOnMute's lineup. ElixirOnMute players include Jon Reshard (bass), Dana Hawkins (drums), Thomas Pridgen (drums/ex The Mars Volta), Steve Jenkins (bass), Kilian Duarte (bass) and Padget Nanton (drums). Band leader Ferreira captains the trio and is an ambitious young musician who single-handedly formed ElixirOnMute in 2010.

Jordan’s cinematic approach to music, sheer musical acumen, and tireless work ethic results in a complex yet refined project. The recordings blossom with the help of a few amazing musicians, producing hard-hitting yet complex tracks that will entice intelligent listeners. This is prog-rock at its best – skill paired with intentionality, pace paired with tact and power. Regardless of the lineup, this formidable trio plays with tremendous balance, despite the outgoing and frenetic characteristics of the music Jordan has created.

The debut record was written entirely by Jordan Ferreira, a Massachusetts native who’s experience in the music industry and passion for film has inspired a visceral relationship to themes and sound. His ability to write and record such a dense group of tracks suggests big things for the young aspiring band-leader, especially when solidified by a rhythm section as talented as the ones he employs. The band formed in 2010 after a chance meeting between Jordan and Thomas Pridgen in California, after which Jordan instinctively knew that he needed to record something with the bombastic drummer from Oakland. Jordan then linked up with Steve Jenkins, his friend from Berklee College of Music, and the ElixirOnMute recording sessions for the debut album occurred shortly thereafter. Jordan says the following about the recording process : “The next week was nuts. I booked a studio in Thomas’ hometown, and flew out to California to oversee him tracking drums.

It was a crazy experience. It was probably the most fun i’ve ever had recording music.” After Thomas recorded his parts, Jordan went back home to the East Coast to get his bassist on tape. ElixirOnMute was almost a reality : “Steve came down to my home studio and we tracked bass there. It was amazing to see him play that closeup.

He’s the man. I’ve never seen shit that crazy being played that close up.” "EndOfSky" was released independently on September 21st, 2010. Jordan Ferreira exclaims when describing it : “Everyone that worked on this seriously gave it their all. From Karyadi Sutedja (Mixing Engineer) putting in 13 hours everyday, to Anthony Resta working so hard, to the tracking of the music.

It’s honestly the most incredible thing i’ve ever been part of… I’m totally proud of this record. I love the guys i play with in this band, and learn so much from playing with them.” In addition to being the records’ lone songwriter, Jordan Ferreira plans on releasing feature films to coincide with every sonic release, which he himself will direct. Ferreira has already completed 6 screenplays, and is eager to combine his love for film with his desire to create recklessly passionate music. ElixirOnMute is : JORDAN FERREIRA : Songwriter / Guitars / Vocals. Born in April 11th 1991 in Westport, MA, Jordan is the son of well known Portuguese-American King of Pop, Jorge Ferreira. First appearing on his father's Christmas album "Natal Em Família" at the age of 5, that went on to sell upwards of 5000 copies, and performing the song "Happy Birthday Baby Jesus", Jordan has been involved in music most of his life. Since the age of 11, Jordan has been touring and performing in Europe, the U.K.

and Canada with his superstar father on separate projects, as well as the experiences of working with and alongside producers Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack), Anthony Resta (Elton John, Duran Duran, Nuno Bettencourt) and John Ellis (American Hi-Fi). Being included on FUSE’s on demand, the Fox News and TLC channels, as well as being signed to Indie label PickTheBand as a band member in the group Mindwalk Blvd, are just some of things that had been accomplished during the last few years in the group. When asked to elaborate on the relationship of film to music, Ferreira says “Film has been a medium i’ve wanted to get into for a long time. To me in the right hands, it’s probably the most expressive art form. I’ve got alot of screenplays sitting around, and i’m always making lists of ideas of films to work on. It will happen eventually.

The main model that i want for ElixirOnMute is i don’t want any restraints. I want to follow what excites me creatively, and have an outlet for it all. At the moment, filmmaking and music making are very exciting to me, so i’m planning to put feature films out with each record.” JON RESHARD : Bass. By age 15, Jon Reshard had recorded a drum and bass album with drum phenom Tony Royster Jr., which was followed by a Guitar Center Clinic tour by the duo. By age 18, he began working with Shrapnel guitar artist Greg Howe, was recording Soundproof and touring in Europe in support of the album.

Jon has been featured multiple times in every U.S. and many international bass publications, and produced his own instrumental album in 2008 featuring Greg Howe and drummer Dave Weckl. That project led to a call from Prince, who tapped Reshard as his bassist for an unreleased project. He’s also toured with The Memorials – a Bay Areathrash band founded by drum prodigy Thomas Pridgen (ex-The Mars Volta). In 2010, Jon and vocalist Afton started the band Vigilant, and have been working on new material for eventual release. Jon recorded bass for ElixirOnMute's release "The Long Halloween" and was a part of the touring lineup for ElixirOnMute’s Fall Nationwide Tour 2011. DANA HAWKINS : Drums. THOMAS PRIDGEN : Drums. His accolades are well-documented. The winner of the Guitar Center Drum-Off at the age of 9, and the recipient of a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music at the age of 15, it has been clear for a while that Thomas Pridgen was on his way to greatness. He became the youngest human sponsored by Zildjian at the age of 10, and has studied with an impressive roster of accomplished drummers from an incredibly diverse array of styles, such as Dennis Chambers, Dave Garibaldi, Curtis Nutall, Walfredo Reyes Sr., Dom Famularo, Virgil Donati, Animal – Meat Puppets, Dave Dacinzo, and Troy Luketta.
