Finnish Rockcello-Virtoso Elias Kahila, 25, released his debut cellorock-solo album "Break Point" in ´06. A large tour of 116 gigs followed in bars, festivals and showcase gigs, in Holland & Finland. Kahila is on a long journey to develop funk/rock -technique and playing style for the cello. Influences are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Toto, Stevie Wonder, to name a few. So far he has done about 550 gigs, from classical solo competitions, solo tours, tv/radio broadcasts, improvised performances to rock´n roll. In studio, he has worked with many great producers, for ex. Jyri Sariola (Soul Captain Band, Idols) & Johnny Lee Michaels (69 Eyes).
