Electric Toadstool was born in the back of a pick-up truck on the A41. The pick-up was travelling too fast and so was the time. It was 1974 and a rowdy bunch of teenagers were singing, "Take me to the Occiffe on a Saturday Night", but it might have been Thursday. It doesn't matter. That was then and this is some time later. In 2005, founder members, Kemal and old friend Ray Davies who keeps getting an older friend by the minute, decided that it was time to shake down the old Toads. Read more on Last.fm

That was then and this is some time later. In 2005, founder members, Kemal and old friend Ray Davies who keeps getting an older friend by the minute, decided that it was time to shake down the old Toads. They started recording old songs and new with a new bunch of musicians. This activity has been interspersed with occasional acoustic appearances that have almost been Electric Toadstool. But finally Electric Toadstool performed live at a Concert fo Haiti at Hamilton Street Methodist Church Hall, Chester on 13th March 2010.

Their line-up comprised Kemal, Ray and Tom along with Graham Warren who was a Toad as far back as 1981. They will perform live again and they will they complete their CD which will include tracks by the performers below plus additional material from their most recent incarnation.
