El Heath

Like a modern day romantic, EL Heath finds beauty all around him - in childhood memories; in the countryside around his Shropshire home; in early morning light and in dreams. It’s this beauty that provides inspiration for his music: he churns out song after song after song, barely finishing one track before he rushes onto the next. The world compels this man to make music. And what music it is! It’s made using his vast arsenal of guitars, cheap synthesizers Read more on Last.fm
It’s made using his vast arsenal of guitars, cheap synthesizers, toy instruments, circuit bent keyboards, field recordings and processed vocals - not to mention his wondrous Martenot. Releases are numerous and have come via Records on Ribs, Dead Sea Liner, Phantom Channel and self-released tapes and CD-Rs. As well as making solo music, Heath is a member of prog/post/psych/noise-rock collective Strap the Button and has played with The Hungry I (now "To Bury a Ghost") and The Exploits of Elaine, collaborated with Robert Redford for Bedford, Sweet Potato and Dave Osborn as well as making an acclaimed video for Epic45's 'In All The Empty Houses'. In 2009, completed "OBSOLETE", a collection of 8 short films with music for the Obsolete exhibition at the Hive Media Center in Shrewsbury, which can be found on Youtube and is available on VHS and DVD.

Recently joined Staffordshire's Epic45 ( with many gigs in England and Europe over the next year) and can also be found playing accordion at festivals and venues all over the UK with local musician "Rob Dunsford" (recordings found on "Shared", an album recorded by The Wonder Stuff's Miles Hunt).
