El Gran Tombo born in 2007 , coming their members from three others bands Malegua, Habakuk and Rootmates, in order to create a fresh style, reggae-raggamufing, fused with Afro-Latin rhythms: salsa, ska, socca, electronic sounds and Venezuelan native drums and percussion, who shaped the project. Their first CD, Tombo Celebration (2013) was released on May 17 in Caracas and has the participation of James Lakay and OneChot as special guests. Peter Jam (Ragga), Leo Moreno (lyrical voice and rhythm guitar), Freddy Aquino (Bass), Anthony Puerta (Lead Guitar), Ricardo Castillo (Drums) and Luis Reina (Keyboards), make up the group.
