http://www.elbuzzard.net EL BUZZARD is a noise metal band from San Jose CA, which began in 2001. Formed by Troy Kooper and Gene Nite, and later Bass player Josh Santaga and their first drummer Brian Bieler. The band and Bieler split ways before any official recordings. Jack Panaghetti joined briefly and recorded drums on their self released debut full length album "El Buzzard".

Before the album was released Panaghetti left the band. Clay Parton (x-Mohinder and Duster) joined. With Parton added to Kooper, Santaga and Nite the lineup never again changed. They went on to release a 6 song, 11 minute EP on "The Electric Human Project" Label titled "Tranquilazante Del Elefante" (Elephant Tranquilizer), and their final full length release "Gringa" on the same label. In 2007 the band disbanded as El Buzzard and formed an experimental band called "Breasts". Breasts released a self titled album in 2008 and another one called "Loma Prieta 3,402 ft" in 2011 but more recently two remaining members of Breasts/El Buzzard formed Parton Kooper Planetarium and released their debut album "Glass & Bone" on The Static Cult Label". After the band disbanded in 2008 "The Static Cult Label" released a free 6 song EP titled "Songs for Total Dicks".

This was the band's last released recorded some time in 2007. The Ep is available for free download at The Static Cult Label and El Buzzard's official site. As of 2009 El Buzzard made their entire catalogue free to download on their website. www.thestaticcultlabel.com www.elbuzzard.net Read more on Last.fm.
