The band locked itself into the Dutch Wisseloord Studios to record their single Petty Cash. The song is louder and rougher than anything they have made so far. It's an urgent and twisted pop/rock song, 1960 meets 2012, with a raw and sexy female energy, performed by Holland's most self-willed band. The video clip for Petty Cash was directed by Doesjka van Hoogdalem, formerly the right hand of the late Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh.
The result: a brutal, indescribably female impression of sex, life and death. “Einsteinbarbie proves that music can be very sexy.” Stacey Rookhuizen, Kink FM “These Einsteinbarbies are weirdos, but what just happened there was extremely good.” Rob Stenders, 3FM “Einsteinbarbie is one of the biggest surprises of the evening. A show where everything seemed to fall into place.” VPRO 3voor12 “A really fresh band with a very charismatic singer. A bit weird, but above all: Delicious.” Metro NL “This is extremely good.” Jaap Boots, VPRO radio "This snappy Dutch band are a hip trip jazz tip and smart as a whip."
