Eddy King (Eddy Macking), was born in Medan on Sumatra. At the age of 12, Eddy moved with the family to the Netherlands. On his 11th Eddy had been a pair of bongos, which he discovered his sense of rhythm and developed. His love for music really woke up when he was in the Netherlands from his father got his first guitar Egmond. After two years practicing Eddy formed his first band (The Black Eagles), with a few guys from school. On his 18th Eddy was in the military and was stationed in Germany. Read more on Last.fm

His love for music really woke up when he was in the Netherlands from his father got his first guitar Egmond. After two years practicing Eddy formed his first band (The Black Eagles), with a few guys from school.

On his 18th Eddy was in the military and was stationed in Germany. Eddy played in that period with three different German bands in dance halls and clubs. From 1971 to 1975, Eddy toured through Europe with the famous guitarist Rudi Hawaian Wairata. After this period, Eddy played with several bands in Germany, where he at one point Loulou Tielman, the famous "Tielman Brothers" met. Loulou asked Eddy to reinforcing the Tielman Brothers.

Eddy took the invitation gladly. He toured until 1982 along with the Tielman Brothers to the best clubs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
