EOE (Pittsburgh)

EOE is a band that started in East Pittsburgh, PA in 1992. Their music is all original. Their sound includes elements of Punk, Ska, Oi, Funk, Hardcore and General Rock and Roll. Their footprint was left in the Pittsburgh music scene in the 90's, when there wasn't much of a punk scene. There weren't many all ages venues to play, so they rented out local firehalls and played all the venues in Pittsburgh that had bands. There weren't many all ages venues to play, so they rented out local firehalls and played all the venues in Pittsburgh that had bands. They were regulars at Grafitti, Laga, Coolpeppers Hothouse, among others. A bi-product of their efforts, was a scene for local groups and aspiring artists in the Mon Valley. All ages shows were becoming mainstream and groups were sprouting up all over the area.

EOE opened for famous acts such as the Deftones, Orange 9mm, MU330, Madball, Face to Face, The Pharcyde, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and the list goes on. Their Debut Album Sweet Jimmy (1995) Sold Out Completely within the first year. Their followup Generation E (1997) was the perfect compliment to their evolving sound. In 1999 the group dissolved and the members went their separate ways.

In 2007 there was interest for the group to get back together and perform another show to promote their 3rd release Ye Olde EOE, a collection of basement tracks and B-sides. The EOE Reunion show took off and drew over 400 people. EOE continues to promote and expand their unique sound through their fans and introduce their music the masses. Read more on Last.fm.
