Dj Jooki

Jooki is from Rochester in the UK and is heavily influenced by the rave scene's from Trance and Electro to Dubstep and Drum and bass. He started listening to Trance when he was 12 then moved on to Psy-Trance and Hard House. When he was 15 he was visiting a friend in Northern Ireland who gave him a jungle mania tape to listen to. He started listening to Trance when he was 12 then moved on to Psy-Trance and Hard House. When he was 15 he was visiting a friend in Northern Ireland who gave him a jungle mania tape to listen to. He loved every track on the tape and started looking round for more jungle.

For the next 6 years he buried myself in jungle and Drum and Bass (when it became called that). when he got to 17 he was hitting every rave possible to soak up the sounds craving the bass lines like a drug. He reached 23 and started branching into other scenes such as Breaks and Electro as he'd drawn weary of the way Dnb was going but it was the Dubstep scene that changed all that..Jooki started going to fwd @ Plastic People in Shoreditch as there was a regular Dubstep night that had just started playing Dub step and Grime. The Bass lines in that blackened room where the thing he'd been searching for and it seems a lot of the Dnb crowd where thinking the same thing.

Dnb started to take influences from Dubstep and breathed new life in to Dnb. Jooki in the mean time was learning to produce Dubstep, Dnb, Electro, Trance and Breaks on a few different DAW's (mainly reason) Today Jooki is in the process of releasing his debut album after a few single releases over the past year.
