"die perlen" were founded in spring 2000. The early songs were arranged with the old Atari that is still used on stage today. As a consequence "die perlen" appeared regularly on compilations together with bands like "Mia", "Klee", "Spillsbury" or "Stereo Total" to mention just a few. The success of the EP gave the band the chance to play live together with different bands like "Klee", "Schwefel", "Nachlader" or "Homo Futura" (a "Welle Erdball"-side-project).
