Devour the Light are a 4-piece deathcore band based in the suburbs of Miami, Florida. The band was formed by David, 15, and Marcelo, 14, who met at a School of Rock show. Later, Marcelo met Gianmarco, 14, and Jared, 16, and Julian, 15, joined. Devour the Light's first band practice was on August 9th, 2009 and they've has been blowing up since, getting a 3rd-place all-time record of 49 tally marks at their debut show at Miami Wings on October 24th, almost half the tallies marked that night. Now in a Julian-less line-up, they are currently working on an EP titled "Payback's A Bitch." Devour the Light are influenced by Job for a Cowboy, Bring Me the Horizon, Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, Annotations of an Autopsy, Killwhitneydead, Waking the Cadaver, Oceano, I Declare War, All Shall Perish, Carnifex, Thy Art Is Murder, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
