Deus Sex Machina was an industrial rock band formed in 1995 in Rīga, Latvia by composer Andris Vilcāns. The band have won a prize in nomination for the Best Arrangement at Sinepes un Medus festival in Madona, Latvia; participated at Art Genda event at Stockholm, Sweden and other events. Deus Sex Machina has received the LNT Award for the concert programme Sister Left (2000) and AKKA/LAA Infinity Music Award for the music of performance Fausts. Deus Ex Machina (1998). The band recorded and released track Paliek Klusāk, both the audio and video. In 2009, Deus Sex Machina announced an indefinite hiatus. The last lineup: Andris Vilcāns - guitar, programming, vocals; Edgars Rakovskis - guitar (currently Relicseed); Kaspars Grīnbergs - drums.
