dePsypher were a progressive rock band that hailed from Melbourne, Australia. Drummer, Yane Dimitrijoski, Guitarist, Mark Stubbs and Bassist, Dan Mayes, were initially known as "Project: Mayhem" in the early 00's before then vocalist, Dan Jones, parted ways. Through sheer coincidence, replacement singer, Keiran Macfarlane answered a local advert despite the band trying to hunt him down over a year earlier after they witnessed an impressive show. The band only existed for a couple of years before members separated to travel the world, but in this time they were able to release their debut album "dePsyphersonic", as well as play many gigs in the local area.

Their live shows were best described energetic and pulsating, typified in their live album "Live at the Espy". Now almost two years after their split, Macfarlane, Dimitrijoski and Mayes are coming together again to begin work on their new project "Something Once Forgotten". Whilst two of the three members are still overseas, writing and recording has begun. At this stage, they are without a guitarist. Dan Mayes has also produced many solo albums, and much like dePsypher, aims to give his music away for free. Read more on Last.fm.
