Biography Den Forspildte Elite (The Wasted Elite) was formed in the early spring of 1983 by Hans-Ole Kraglund and Max Guld. Both played guitar and using taped bass and drummachine for backing. Two of the very first compositions were Krig (War) and Ingen Vegne (Going Nowhere). The use of dim accords, "dim scales", off-notes and various movements of repeated patterns on guitar and bass became hallmarks of Den Forspildte Elites style.

The group quickly expanded with Ole Dreyer (bass), a friend from the local highschool, Vallensbaek Statsskole, and Mariann Johnson (drums) who was "hired" at a Residents concert. Shortly after Den Forspildte Elite had an instrumental debut concert in Lillebio in Albertslund Centret (in the shoppingcentre cinema) at a Albertslund Rockklub event. Michael Valeur (singer/poet), also from Vallensbaek Statsskole, soon joined the group. Michael Valeur wrote lyrics for existing compositions with basis in their existing titles.

Den Forspildte Elite appears at several Albertslund Rockklub events. In late 1983, Michael Valeur is replaced by Nels Friis (former singer of Olsens Punkband), also an acquaintance from Vallensbaek Statsskole. Nels' aggressive performance style became a new hallmark of Den Forspildte Elite. Soon after Mariann Johnson is replaced by Kåre Nordahl on drums. After a while Ole Dreyer leaves the group and Hans-Ole Kraglund takes over the bass. This setup keeps steady for a while and the group starts producing demotapes giving jobs outside of Albertslund Rockklub. The group acts on P4 ( Denmarks Radio), where 4 songs are broadcasted live.

Kåre Nordahl leaves the group and is replaced by a Korg KRP 77 rhythm box. Charlotte Bagge from the band Kalashnikov joins Nels on vocals, Around 1985 the album "Not For Everyone" is recorded in their rehearsal room. It is never published. A lot more happened the following 28 years but.. Den Forspildte Elite, now consisting of Nels Friis, Max Guld and Hans-Ole Kraglund still exists, and is still (2013) working it's way through sound.
