Delay Tactics

Back during the heyday of the early ‘80s, guitarist Carl Weingarten started up the St. Louis-based progressive instrumental group called Delay Tactics. But after recording one short-run album and investing in a synthesiser and ancient computer, Christian began recording on his own retaining the name “Delay Tactics”. His new aim was to produce contemporary sounding experimental electronica and dub with influences from Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Techno Animal, Pole, Kid 606, and of course the legendary Sheffield industrial sound from his limited equipment set up. Outgrowing a purely studio existence, Delay Tactics first live show was in August 2000. The title for the album "I Dub Thee Vampiris" comes from the book, “I Am Legend”, by Richard Matheson, a story of virus created vampires.

The vampires are resisted by the last unaffected left on the planet. The film of the book is “The Omega Man” starring Charlton Heston. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
