Deep Chill Network

Deep Chill Network's infatuation with relaxation music and the use of music to relax, has led them into the dark realms of sleep and dreams. With the use of synthesizers and effects, they weave a unique brand of neu-chill designed to calm the frayed nerves. Deep Chill Network's infatuation with relaxation music and the use of music to relax, has led them into the dark realms of sleep and dreams. With the use of synthesizers and effects, they weave a unique brand of neu-chill designed to calm the frayed nerves. Influenced by the work of Pete Namlook, Tetsu Inoue, and Steve Roach, their music features subtle ambiences with a strong emphasis on chill. Deep Chill Network really has defined "deep chill" on Dark Duck Records. Their "Cyber Sleep" series has laid the framework for their trademark sound.

The cyber sleep series is intended to be listened to while relaxing or sleeping and will always calm and relax. After their 4th installment in the "Cyber Sleep" series, Deep Chill Network has now embarked on some different projects. The "Dreams" series has gotten under way nicely with their first three installments, "Dreams 1", "Dreams 2", and "Dreams 3." Now that the first 3 volumes of Cyber Sleep have been deleted, Deep Chill Network plans to continue the Cyber Sleep series. Cyber Sleep 5 is set for release in 2004.

With a #6 to follow later this year. The CD Heart of the Tundra, has been well received around the world and has been featured on several radio programs including Stars End. The followup to Tundra titled "Deep Freeze" hit the streets and made some waves and now the final volume in what is now being called the Tundra Series is finally available "Yukon." A bit spacier then it's predecessors, it's still an outstanding collection of extremely chilled material. As well as Tundra and the Dreams stuff, D.C.N. have contributed an exclusive track for the Ambient Landscapes Volume 2 compilation out in May 2000 as well as a track for the "Ambient01@hyperreal" compilation out in October 2000.
