U.S. hip-hop artist & poet 1.)Decora are four friends from the depths of rural Wiltshire with a penchant for shit-kicking riffery and an urge to find something in life more meaningful than the daily drudgery of employment. In between shuffling paper at the local prison where 3 of 4 members work to keep the van full of juice and the strings bright and new, Decora are fast becoming one of the best known bands in the South West; receiving radio play from BBC Wiltshire and underground music stalwarts such Total Rock and Pulse Unsigned, along with airings from as far a field as the Serbian alternative radio station Breaking the Silence. Decora have played over 200 gigs in most major live music markets in England & Wales as well as less well served towns through playing one-off shows and touring the length and breadth of the country. Described as mightily impressive by Jeremy Chick of the webzine Subba-Cultcha Decoras sound has been enhanced by the touch of producer Jason Wilcock who was behind Reuben's debut album and has recently been working with Universal's latest interest, The Hands. 2.) Decora is a band from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. They self-released an EP "Pictures from an Expedition" in '08 and have just released a full length album "Hibernator" on the netlabel Amazing Wow.http://amazingwow.org/. 3.) Decora, (short for De Corazon) is an emcee and poet out of Hudson Valley, New York.
As a member of a world-renowned Spoken Word group known as The ReadNex Poetry Squad he completed 8 tours in over 12 countries and 35 states across the U.S. Hip Hop culture took hold of Decora at the age of 8 in Brownsville, Brooklyn while listening to Tribe Called Quest and he never looked back. By the age of thirteen, Decora began writing his first rhymes that he would finally perform his freshman year of college. Now with various accolades and awards, including First Place at the Apollo, TV appearances, and being named one of Hudson Valley Magazine’s “Top 9 People to Watch,” Decora is well on his way as an artist.
