Formed in 2009 by singer/guitarist Jeff Moore, drummer Jaye Moore and bassist John Watterberg, the band spent their first few years self-releasing a string of EPs before signing to local label Uninhabitable Mansions for 2013's High Gain EP. The following year, they joined forces with Brooklyn's Old Flame Records to release their debut LP, Slumber, which has received praise from New York Magazine, KEXP, Noisey, BrooklynVegan, and many more. Having shared stages with bands like Bear Hands, F*cked Up, and White Fence, Dead Stars has built up a loyal following in the Brooklyn music scene. They have also played alongside Dinosaur Jr., Mac DeMarco, Speedy Ortiz & more at the Village Voice's 4Knots Music Festival in July 2014 Read more on Last.fm.
