During the summer of 2009 they flew to Los Angeles and recorded their debut CD, Equilibrium, an album produced by Shawn Zuzek of Daughters of Mara and Simple Sick Device, which earned critical acclaim and airplay nationwide after its release in November 2009. After a few years full of concerts and slight formation changes, Dead Relic finally found its new home and purpose. In 2012, and after a few concerts trying out new material, they started pre-production on what would be their next studio release. This time around it would be Ben Casabianca, seasoned guitarist and sound tech in many stints in the U.S.A. and U.K.
for high profile bands, who would be taking care of the vocals & lead guitar duties for the new material. On rhythm guitar they have Victor Roldan, an accomplished producer, guitarist and drummer for The Hollowmen. On bass duties and live backing vocals it was Diego Diaz who stepped up to the mark, and last but not least, it would be Laguna resident, veteran drummer & live sound tech David Rodriguez who would take care of the drum kit. After a couple of weeks of pre-production, Dead Relic stepped into Koolash Studios to record their latest studio effort, their self-titled EP. The EP, which was released in April 2013 comprises 6 new tracks, including their new single “Echoes”, which reached over 20.000 views in it’s first week on YouTube, and has reached high levels of airplay in Thailand, Spain and the U.K.
