Lyrically, The topics deal with the pain of this life from a decidedly spiritual perspective. Influences are bands such as Circle of Dust, Bauhaus, The Violet Burning, and Living Sacrifice.

Their full length Album "Glimmer" (recorded at IHS Studios and mastered by Emily Lazar of The Lodge in NYC) was self released in June 2005. The 9 songs result in a full hour of music. It has recieved favorable press from such publications as Automata Magazine, and the Goth music reviewer/writer Dr. Raven.

At this time, Darkfield Illuminator is in talks with a record label that is in it's developmental stages and hopes to sign with them when they are up and running.
